Terms of use
Last updated 1 November 2026
By joining or using Amader Community ("the site") you agree to these terms. The site is run by Md Tanvir, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us").
1. What the site is
A free community platform and discussion for Bangladeshis in Australia. We are not an employer, recruiter, real estate agent, landlord, event organiser or seller. Any deal is between you and the other person.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Give your real name and keep your details correct. The Discussion shows your real name. On job, housing, event and business posts your name shows unless you choose to post anonymously.
- An anonymous post does not remove your responsibility for what you post. Moderators can always see who posted, and may act on or report anything that breaks these terms.
- Do not share your account or pretend to be someone else.
3. Rules
You must not post or send:
- adult (18+), sexual or violent content;
- harassment, hate, threats or bullying;
- scams, fake jobs, fake homes, or anything misleading;
- spam or advertising unrelated to the community;
- anything illegal, or anything that breaks someone else's rights (for example copyright or privacy);
- jobs paying less than the legal minimum, or housing that breaks tenancy law.
4. Private messages
You may message other members about their posts. Keep it respectful, do not send spam, adult content, threats or scams, and do not share someone else's private details. Moderators cannot read private messages. If someone behaves badly in a message, report them and, if you can, attach screenshots or videos as proof; moderators can act on that report, including by banning the member. We may limit how many messages you can send.
4a. Moderation
Moderators can remove posts and messages and suspend or ban members, with or without notice, especially for adult content, scams or harassment. We may keep a record of these actions. Our decisions are final, but you can email us if you think we made a mistake.
5. Your content
You own what you post. You give us permission to show it on the site and to store it so the site can work. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share. You can delete your own posts and messages at any time.
6. No checking, no guarantees
We do not check posts, members or messages, and we do not endorse any of them. The site and everything on it is provided "as is". We do not promise that any job, home, event, business or member is real, honest, safe, legal or suitable, or that the site will always be available, secure or error-free. Nothing on the site is legal, financial, tenancy, employment or migration advice. Please read our Safety tips. Never send money before you have met and seen the place or job yourself, and check pay and conditions with Fair Work or NSW Fair Trading.
7. Our responsibility, and yours
- You use the site, and deal with other members, at your own risk. You are responsible for checking anyone and anything before you rely on it, meet someone, or hand over money or details.
- We are not a party to any deal, job, rental, sale or event between members, and we are not responsible for what members post, say or do, online or in person.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage or harm (including lost money, lost opportunities, or indirect or consequential loss) that comes from using the site, from content posted by members, from deals between members, or from the site being unavailable. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, our liability is limited to the minimum the law permits, such as supplying the service again.
- You agree to cover any loss we suffer, including reasonable costs, because you broke these terms or posted something unlawful or that breaks someone else's rights.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
7a. Reporting problems and removing content
If you see a post or message that is a scam, unlawful, or breaks your rights (for example copyright or privacy), report it using the Report button or contact us with a link and the reason. We will review it and may remove it. We act as a community platform and are not the author of what members post.
If you believe someone is in danger, or a crime is happening, call Triple Zero (000), or contact your local police. We are not an emergency service and do not monitor the site around the clock.
8. Ending your access
You can stop using the site at any time. You can delete your account yourself at the bottom of the My account page. Banned accounts cannot be deleted.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept it.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
